Donors Choose Help

I recently submitted a project to Donors Choose. I was super excited and made sure I had all of my ducks in a row which included all of the paper work, etc.  I haven't had any bites for the project. This seems like an awesome opportunity and I have heard many great things.

Does anyone have suggestions for me? I am wondering if my project cost is too much. What have you done to get the word out? I am considering submitting another less expensive project. Any suggestions or ideas would be awesome!

Thanks!

Stephanie

Stephanie - Congratulations on posting your project!! It is such a wonderful feeling :-) I have been blessed with all of my projects funded... some tips I have found include: - use facebook! I have posted it on my wall, on the Donorschoose wall, everywhere that I can. - I don't know the type of district that you work in... but if you work in a district where the parents could support you, include it in your newsletter. - There is a way to place a Donorschoose button on your blog at http://pattonspatch.blogspot.com/ She has a great blog. - Lastly tell all of us about your project!! You never know what you will get
;-)

If you need any other info you can email me at deboraha.burns@yahoo.com

Good Luck!!

Your project looks great!!! I just got my first project funded through Donors Choose. My project was very costly (over $800) and I felt the same as you do, that it will never get funded. I agree with Debbie, use Facebook!!! My relatives even chipped in because they saw it on my FB page. My project didn't get fully funded until the last few days. Just keep your hopes up, it will happen :)
